Hello everybody!
I want to welcome everybody to read this My Suomi Technical Visit blog. I would like to tell in this blog about all the exciting Technical Visits that we are arranging for our foreign guests.
What is a Technical Visit? It is a study tour where foreign professionals can visit a Finnish professional at work. When we plan visits with foreign clients, they will tell about their topic of interest, and we will find the person best qualified to discuss it.
Sometimes the Technical Visit is a discussion, other times the guests will get to see entire facilities, like when visiting a factory or a school.

Recently, we have taken our clients to many start-up companies, several research institutes, health-care and social service facilities, and numerous other organizations in various fields.
At best, a technical visit is anything but ”technical”. It is a lively meeting between foreign professionals of different fields and their local counterparts. Both parties will learn from each other and get new ideas for developing their facilities and services. It is a genuine win-win -situation, an eye-opening experience for both parties.
We started to organize Technical Visits for our Japanese clients 20 years ago. The Japanese use the word “Shisatsu” for this type of a study tour; the word means “Inspection” and that tells you a lot. Our Japanese clients have been ”inspecting” all kinds of schools in Finland, Sweden and Estonia, youth councils, different kinds of companies, government offices and NGOs, just to name a few.
Our customers have been interested in children with special needs, elderly people with different types of dementia, Finnish women in politics, and goodness knows what.
Welcome to your own Technical Visit. Which field are you interested in? Please send your inquiry to info@mysuomi.fi and let’s talk!
